In the Polanski production Lady Macbeth is a much less sinister character, she is wearing white which is associated with purity and good, she appears to be the "kind hostess" and the "innocent flower" that she wants to be seen as. She also comes across as less confident, especially after the murder when she is actually scared. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth also do not seem as close as they were in the RSC version as there is less eye contact and Macbeth seems to act somewhat distant when he is with his wife.
