only problem was that when God made man he did not make him perfect. Man was made to have evil feelings sometimes of jealousy, desire, and hatred, although after reading the bible I feel that God also sometimes had these same feelings. For humans, this was maybe too much power and they weren't always able to live up to God's expectations for all of their actions and decisions in life. This was apparent after the first man and woman on earth, Adam and Eve, disobeyed God and were punished for their wrong doings.
             God made the perfect life for Adam and Eve. They only knew good and didn't have to work for anything. God gave them their food and their freedom and in general their lives were happy. The one condition that God gave them was not to eat from the tree of knowledge and if they were to do so, they would die. One day while Eve was in the Garden of Eden, she came to the tree of knowledge and naturally she was curious about it. The serpent was a very crafty animal and said that God was a liar and that if she ate from the tree of knowledge that she would be as knowledgeable as God (Genesis 3.4). Now to humans, one of their goals in life was to aspire to be most like God because he is the Supreme Being of all that is good. He is the person we try to model ourselves after. God made this man's goal by always showing off all his power and telling the humans that they should worship him. Naturally, with the thought of wanting to be more like God, Eve went ahead and disobeyed God in order to gain this knowledge. Adam and she ate from the tree of knowledge and the serpent was right, they did not die. When God found out what they did he was infuriated.
