Large minorities of people meet and date through work. It's a fact of life and surprisingly natural. The majority of our working days are spent at work, not at home and as tie passes it is very understandable that bonds are forged and romantic relationships develop. Most of the time it starts with email flirting, chats over the coffee machine, a quick drink after work and before you know it, your brand new girlfriend or boyfriend is the person working right across the hall. Everything seems great... until things begin to go terribly wrong.
             Of course there are some who are things work out for but for the most part dating in the work place becomes a problem for the individuals dating themselves and those around them. All relationships begin innocently enough but to be falling in love with someone you can see so conveniently during work hours is an extra treat. The problem is what happens when things begin slowly to fall apart. Before the relationship both partners are professional and good at their job but soon enough things change. When relationships begin to go wrong the participants begin by spending an inordinate amount of time questioning themselves, the situation, the other party, their sanity and everything about themselves. In other words they think about everything except the paper work on their desk. Distractions mean a loss in performance, a loss of control, and potential loss of career. The person who rapidly was once exciting the others life becomes a major distraction in the office. These types of relationships also are harmful to co workers.
