When you think of communication what do you normally think of? Simple, right? Well when you break it down into steps and details, it becomes a little more complicated than you had perceived in the past. In this paper I will break it down into the details and steps that you unconsciously take during communication.
             Communication has four different modes. Otherwise called the modes of communication. The first mode is reading. Anything that you pick up and read, for example a magazine, a book or even a newspaper. If you read it you are participating in communication. The second mode is writing. It is a very easy mode of communication. You put your thoughts down on paper and whoever reads your writing, knows what you're thinking about. This is where listening comes into play. You have to listen to understand. The last mode is speaking. To complete the process you must communicate back. Also known as feedback. Speaking is the most common way to send feedback.
             One of the most important ways to communicate is a nonverbal cue. The nonverbal cues process is simple, you have a sender. Which is the person speaking, writing or sending the message. Then you have the message that the sender sent out. The message is then picked up by the receiver, then in turn, sends out the feedback. The process repeats itself time after time.

             Communication also had two different channels. The one way and the two way channels. The two-way channel consists of two persons sending and receiving a message between each other. An example of two-way communication is the telephone. Both people are sending and receiving messages. One-way communication is a little trickier because you do not receive a message back. It is a message being sent with no feedback. A good example of one-way communication is a television or a radio.
