Drugs have become a big problem with teenagers today. Drugs have become very popular around the world. Teenagers are the main targets for drugs, tobacco, and alcohol in the world today. Today's society has been corrupted by those substances. Patrick H is one of many examples of a hurt in society. Patrick started doing drugs that took hold of him and wasted his life away.
During Patrick's teenage life, he had many friends who did drugs. As he spent time with them, he gave into their temptation. They asked him to try drugs with them. He accepted the offer to smoke marijuana and got high for the first time. Patrick always wanted to fit in and be recognized by his friends. Not only did his friends accept him, but drugs accepted him now as well. Drugs soon became a big part of his life and he began to use them often.
Drugs started to become an addiction to Patrick. He began to use them daily and it became a habit. Drugs could always be found on him; in his pocket, in his room, or in his car. Patrick soon started buying items to smoke drugs, such as pipes, bongs, and rolling paper. Many people tried going to him and explaining that he had a problem. He knew they were right, but the fact that someone cared about him was not enough for him to quit. Other ideas to help him quit could not be thought up, but his problems could have possibly been prevented.
School had many events, such as sports, clubs, and games, that he could have been involved with that may have prevented him from ever starting drugs, but he never tried to get involved. Many classes and after school activities were available for him to attend that may have caused him to use his time differently. He may never have had the time to be with his friends to start smoking. Other than the times he did go to school, Patrick always loved to sit around at home or go to parties.
