pos;t until I gave up trying to understand Christianity and after the terrorist attacks that I took up an interest in the Islamic religion. I went out and bought a book called My Jihad. It is about and America bourn man who in his short stay and a juvenile corrections facility he discovered Islam. He later goes to Afghanistan, trains at one of the camps funded by Osama bin Laden, then goes of to fight Jihad in Chechnya and later joins the F.B.I and the C.I.A and help uncover terrorist plots in the middle-east. The book really opened my eyes as to why Muslims were always on the news fighting and that not all Muslims hate America. I gained a great deal of respect and understanding for the religion. I began to realized that Osama bin Laden and his followers had a really far-off, distorted view of what true Islam really was. It kind of reminded me of Hitler and the Nazis.
My increasing curiosity with religion prompted me to take this Living Religions class.
