             1. The most natural form of government is democracy. Disagree a. In "Lord of the Flies", the most natural form of government is not democracy. Instead it is anarchy. That is demonstrated when the constraint of civilizations are no longer in effect, the boys naturally convert or succumbed to anarchical government under Jack.
             b. The natural form of government is not democracy because not long after they crashed, Jack's anarchical government was able to rally more support and subsequently crush the democratic government of Ralph. Had the natural form of government been democracy, a complete victory by Jack's anarchical government would not have been possible. People will still remain loyal to democracy. However, the book clearly demonstrates that this was not the case.
             2. Children need adult in order to survive. Disagree a. The children themselves do not need adult in order to survive. This is because the boys, even though they are only 6 – 12 years old, are well-educated enough to know how to survive by themselves. They were able to find sources of food (fruit) and water (from streams) and hence they were able to live on the island after their crash.
             b. Despite the fact that the children did not know how to hunt animals before they came to the island, their instinct taught them the essentials to their survival. Jack never hunted before he got to the island, yet his natural instinct, which traced back to Man's ancestors, taught him to kill to survive. Hence they really did not need an adult.
             3. Human nature is basically good. Disagree a. It was not in Golding's view that human nature was good. In "Lord of the Flies", the boys became savages without the constraint of society. Slowly but surely, most of the boys converted to evil and obnoxious ways of Jack. Even Ralph and Piggy were not naturally considered "good" since they ...
