An Argument for the Existence of God

             God is the infinite and perfect spirit in whom all things have their source, support, and end. He is a person, which means He thinks, feels, and acts. He is spiritual in that His essence is spirit, not material. Holy bible writers speak of God's hands, eyes, etc., to communicate His ability and activity. These are "anthropomorphisms" and are not meant to be talked about as literal appendages of God. According to Aquinas, God is an omnipotent person (all-powerful), omniscient (all-knowing), and omnibenevolent (entirely good). A personal quote of exactly how I feel about my religion.
             "Since I was born into Lutheran religion, my family/church friends have opened my eyes to a different way of being about my religion. As a Lutheran, one is brought up believing that there is some high spirit other than ourselves and the reason for us being here because of God. God is the creator of everything that exists today.              To some people, religion is just like eating and breathing; people really live by it.
             This idea of God is an interesting topic for which many philosophers or scientists have tested. Ontology helps with an explanation of certain things prevalent in today's society. Ontology is a branch of philosophy that studies the existence and nature of the world. One philosopher already mentioned would be Aquinas. Aquinas has five arguments for the existence of God. Those five include motion, nature of efficient cause, possibility and necessity, gradation to be found in things, and the governance of the world. Motion is the best argument for the existence of God. How else would people explain things?
