It is true that parents are guilty of negligence, they should be punished because the child died, but I think loosing their child was the most painful punishment hat court could find out. Let's look from the parents' position. Look how terrible their situation; they know that they are guilty of negligence, now they know they had to go to the doctor and also they know that the death of their only child because of them. Of course parents loved their daughter and they did not want that end.
             The bad thing in our story that child died and it was not an accident, it was parents' mistake. So we probably can say parents are guilty and they should get a punishment because of their negligence. But imagine to you this picture: two persons grew up in the good American's families. In the childhood they both often dreamed about their great and happy future with a big house for all ten children and a big, friendly dog, about how they will find a boyfriend/girlfriend. After couple of years they found each other and got married. Imagine to yourself how were they happy, now, when their child was born, is the time when their dreams are performing, now their life became happier that ever it was. Everything is going great. But after about seven or eight years those happy and lovely parents got really shocked and stressed. Their subject of love died. It is like everything that they did had a reason and that reason is gone. But it is not the end of the parents' problem. The reason of death their child was they are – parents. Oh, how painful it is... Themselves killed their beautiful and happy future. And now anything cannot make them to feel worse. I think the punishment is not correct in this situation. Here are no reasons to punish them. Parents have already punished.
