A lying man lies himself to death. In the book Death of a Salesman, the Loman family never tells the truth, not even for ten minutes. They try to tell the truth, but it always comes out a lie and eventually lies turn into death.
             One lie that is told while in the Loman house is when Biff confronts Willy at the end about the rubber pipe he found. Biff had set it down on the table and Willy said, "What is that? I never seen that." This goes to show you that will won't even tell the truth when in an emotional situation.
             Another lie that is told from one of the Lomans comes from Happy. When Biff runs out of the restaurant and Happy goes to stop him, the two ladies that were with Happy ask if he was going to tell his father. Happy said, "No, he's not my father. He's just some guy." This shows that Happy is just worried about himself and doesn't care about anyone else. This shows that Willy rubbed off on him as far as lying and only doing stuff for himself.
             Lying is a very powerful thing that everyone does, its inevitable. You will lie at least once in your lifetime whether you want to or not. You will do it to maybe get out of trouble, or to get something you want. There are millions of reasons why people lie. I do not think that it is something that can be easily controlled. Lying can hurt you in may ways, and from this story, it may even kill you.
