Good things come to those who wait....in line.

             I have always loved going to amusement parks. Ever since I was a little girl I couldn't wait until the next time I would get to go and ride the rides. I would always be so nervous, scared, and hesitant, but I was also so excited. If I never got to ride a roller-coaster again, I would still be able to remember all of those mixed emotions happening at the same time and just what kind of an amazing thrill it is. Luckily, though, I was able to go to an amusement park just about every year of my childhood life. I just couldn't get enough, but what I could get enough of was waiting in the lines for rides. I hated waiting in line for a ride, and I didn't use to have any patience for it. However, I finally learned my lesson about patience.
             My eighth grade year we took a class trip to the Six Flags amusement park in Louisville, KY. It was like being a little kid again. Everything felt the same; the weather was warm, and I could smell the pool water-concession stand mix (which, by the way, is a weird but comforting and familiar smell). I just couldn't wait to get on that one special roller-coaster, The Batman. The Batman was the best ride in the whole amusement park, well, at least in my opinion it was. As soon as I got inside, I went straight for it, but when I got there the line was way, way too long.
             "I don't think I want to wait in line this long. I'm just going to come back later when it is shorter," I said to my friend, Brian.
             "Well, okay, whatever you think is better. I don't really care either way, so let's go ahead and see what else we can do," he replied.
             So, Brian and I went to go and try out the other rides. We went to the log ride first, and even though it was a lot of fun, it still didn't amount to The Batman. Getting soaked in my normal clothes wasn't really my favorite past-time. Brian and I went back to see if the line was shorter at The Batman. I...
