Compare and Contrast

            Why does a person need to work? I wonder that question everyday. In my very own life I have had numerous jobs that pay me different amounts of money to due boring labor. I have worked in a store where the customer is always right, and makes a teddy bear for his or her kid. I have even worked in one of the biggest theme parks in the United States, Six Flags Great Adventure. People will pay us this little amount of money to basically due a lot of labor and work a lot of hours.
            
             Working at this teddy bear store back in my first days of working in retail, I have realized that work is not what its all cracked up to be. Managers are extremely rude when they do not get what they want, but if we ask for something as little as a raise or better position, we are going to hear it. My position as a sales associate working on a sales floor was quite the boring job. I need something more exciting in my life to get me going. Working in retail showed me that customers are not ever right, and the customer is most of the time completely wrong. Believe me on this one, I know.
            
             When I finally had given my boss the notice I was going to leave, it hit me that I needed a job more exciting. I drove all the way down to six flags great adventure in Jackson, NJ thinking I would find something more interesting. It would be something to better this teenager's life. I honestly lost money is the process of working there my entire 2002 summer. The money was terrible and the people from both New York and Pennsylvania were rude, obnoxious and not funny.
            
             As a teenager I find it so unfair to have to work in conditions that are not fair, where the pay is terrible. I would go to work and not enjoy myself. I would be paid an amount of $6.75 an hour to hear customer and guest complaints. I write you this letter not to complain but to make someone else realize that working, as a teenager is not fair.
