A True War Story

Guns, bombs, camouflage, soldiers, tanks, blood, guts, glory. These are just a few of the many things related to war. War is such a small word, but can mean such big things. When I think of war I think of someone from a family setting off to a foreign country leaving all loved ones at home to fight for their country. I think them taking guns to defend themselves, food to help them survive, and courage to make it through the long period of time and danger. My expectations include a soldier representing his country in every action taken to help defend another country and their soldiers in which we refer to as a HERO. A hero has to be included in a war story. The most important part of a war story though would after be post war. I am talking about the memories you have and the stories you can tell to everyone who has no up close and personal experience. Stories of a war are a way for a soldier to bring back memories when revealing his actions while away. In return though it is a way for family and friends to enjoy the comfort of their loved one telling his experiences and knowing that he/she is at home and safe. This just makes everything that much better. I think the good and the bad should defiantly be included, but not to leave out the appreciation from everyone who the war has a reflection on. These are my expectations of a war story.
