There are three categories of questions: questions for oral answer in the House during question time; Private Notice Questions which can only be asked if the question is judged by the Speaker to be 'urgent,' these are answered at the end of Question Time; and questions for written answer to which the answered is printed in the Official Report. Question Time is held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and it lasts for about an hour. The speaker sets the procedure in motion by calling the first Parliament Member on the printed Order of Business.
