The frst question that needs to be adressed is. What is Creatine? Creatine is an amino acid that everyone naturally has in our body's. Creatine is madu of three amino acids which are: argentine, glycine, and methionine. When an athlete takes a creatine supplement it puts more creatine in the body that can be used as energy.
What does creatine do when taken? The first thing creatine gives us is extra energy for our muscles. In our bodies there is a compound called ATP, which is a body that contains energy. The human body has other sources of energy but those sources take longer to convert into useable energy. When doing an activity that requires a fast burst of energy, your mescles need a quick burst of energy, that energy comes from ATP. The downfall of ATP is we only have enough to last about 10 to 15 seconds of work. When ATP is used it turns into ADP which is useless to our bodies. When creatine is used it stores in muscles and bonds with extra phosphorus in the muscle and it is converted into creatine phosphate of CP. When the CP and useless ADP combine it turns back into the ATP and gives you more energy to fuel you
