Image you have just graduated high school and it is time to decide what to do next. Would you rather spend the first early part of your twenties going to college or start a family? Everyone has their own opinions on what they find important in life. I feel that college is extremely important and that everyone should at least attempt to get a degree. Others may feel that it is important to work or start a family right away. I feel that college is an important factor in life.
             One reason I feel that college is important is because it help us make a better life for ourselves. By going to college, we are able to learn about things that interest us, rather than learning what our high school or state guidelines require us to learn. After we obtain our degree, we are then able to get a job in that field, and make a better income. I personally do not feel that it would be easy making a living off of minimum wage. In today's world today, it is almost required to have a degree to get a "good" paying job. Others may feel that college is not important to make a "good" living. Many people today without college degrees have decent paying jobs that they are able to live off of. One reason people may not go to college is the cost. They feel that it is unnecessary to spend thousands of dollars each year to obtain a degree. Not only would they be spending a lot of money, but they would also lose out on work while they were attending school.
             Another reason I feel that college is important is for the fact that it teaches teenagers responsibility. Once you hit college, it is up to you what you get out of it, there is no one walking beside you helping you in anyway. If you miss a class, then it is your responsibility to make up what you've missed and to also be prepared for the next class.
