             The conformist is the one who will sit ideally and watch as the way of life they had grown to love and enjoy is changed without question. Rather than to begin a confrontation they would rather adapt to the new world. A conformist is one who adapts easily and doesn't object to change. They are constantly trying to move with the times in order to ensure that they are not left behind. The advantages of being so adaptable is that one can move or change with ease for they are accustom to adapting to new environments. The task of moving can be accomplished with ease for all emotional ties associated with the area are severed. The optimal example of a conformist in The Plague would be Rieux, with regard to how he completed his daily medical practice. Through out the epidemic he constantly adapted to the increasing need for medical attention he made accommodations for those who he could not see during the day to be transported to a safe environment where they could still experience a low level of
