dn't make it to the Olympics at all. He was so afraid of flying that his father had to talk to him for five hours just to get him on the plane. Even after he was on the plane he wore a parachute and prayed in the aisle. He finally made it to the Olympics and it was a good thing that he went because he did end up winning the gold medal just like he said he would.
