Why America should not answer with rage
             September 11, 2001 is a very significant day for all United States citizens and will always be remembered just like Pearl Harbor is remembered. There are some people though, that believe that eventually it will be forgotten. The author of an article called "Why life will never be the same" says: "Researchers have long known that the memory of epochal events fades with time." According to experts, this is called flashbulb memory. Flashbulb memory is the sudden onset of a clear memory of an emotionally significant moment or event. Even though North Americans, throughout the years, will forget details, now days some USA citizens think that this attack should be responded to with rage because it has been a massacre, crime, invasion, and a statement. Bus my question is: why with rage?
             Rage doesn't solve anything, but may cause situations to become worse. Say that the United States government makes a non-stop attack with the purpose of revenge. They destroy important buildings in Afghanistan and kill thousands of citizens. If it happens, Afghanistan will respond in the same way and it will become a cycle that won't stop until both nations are destroyed economically, militarily, and politically. United States has a high ego and sometimes they must be shown that they aren't the kings of the world. Events like this hurt people individually and collectively, but please, don't answer back with something they disliked. Jesus, in the book of Matthew, says: "if someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also." This doesn't mean that the United States should careless about attacks and threats, but they should not respond to them with another attack. There are so many ways to solve problems that don't involve the death of innocent people.
