Since these nations were on the same side, they thought the NATO posed a threat. Soon the NATO powers made a policy that matched the USSR step for step to maintain world peace which created suspicion and fear because of the true feeling in the international arena of politics! A political struggle between the two dominant blocs of the world was the creation the NATO really had begun. The NATO countries soon formed the Warsaw Pact, which became the soviet response to the formation of the NATO. Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and USSR, made the Warsaw Pact treaty which meant that each country had to take care of one another in case of another war. The most important condition of the Warsaw pact was that Russia could occupy the member countries of the Warsaw Pact in the name of self defense.
