We are made to believe that life is what you make of it. To say that is wrong, for we all must go by the predetermined rules set by fate that cannot be changed. We all must go through our first walk, our first day of school, our first kiss, our first job. With this we gain a perspective that helps us advance through our hard and are even harder times. As the years go by everything gets more and more complicated. You face more and more problems have more ups and downs, and nothing is ever constant. Life gets harder and harder as you go along.
For instance, what would you say is easier: learning how to crawl or learning how to walk? Learning how to speak or learning how to listen? It's a fact; life was much simpler before you knew the truth about the opposite sex. Life suddenly knew the meaning of grief when you experienced that first moment of the loss of a loved one. You cannot change this; everything will change to prepare you for a better tomorrow. With these experiences we come through with the knowledge that we are a stronger person and our preparing ourselves for our next difficult situation.
We have our happy moments when we know for the very first time that we our loved and we have the heartbreaking times when that love is questioned, or even forgotten. We know that nothing in life is free, we know that to make anything work their must be hard work, there must be pain. But we accept this because we know that even though these times are hard, life is forgiving. We will someday feel those moments of pure happiness after moments of devastating pain. Without these moments would our lives be worth living? These moments our what makes our happy moments all the more joyful, without them we would be lost.
We do not make our own rules. We can control our harder moments, but the fact remains that they are there and we cannot change this. To embrace these moments as facts of life ...
