The general Othello is unique in ways that are and are not familiar with the times of today. In the story you have a strong minded man for war but not in certain aspects of his life. When dealing with conflicting issues such as material problem he doesn't confront the problems but let them mount more pressure. Pressure is not good in any circumstance because eventually something may happen for the bad as it did for Othello. The tragedy of a man who is blinded by a deceitful person is no others man blame then his own. The play is full of ironies such as love if you love something or someone you will not harm it.
             The role iago plays is wicked. He is a despicable man in all form and fashion. Just because Othello overlooked him for promotion Iago invented a tangled web of deceit that caused his own demise as well as others. He was brilliant in the way he orchestrated his evil deeds but sometime good is bad. A rotten to the core of a man. He had love for women whom had no love for him or even knew of his love for her. His jealousy of the moor Othello was uncalled for.
             Desdemona was a very sweet and loving wife who was to naive not to know her husband was troubled with some thing concerning her. He gave her hints that disloyalty has occurred on her behalf but she never questioned in depth on his uncertain remarks. She sensed something was wrong but never confronted her suspisusions head on. If she would have been more of a vocal woman she would have found out that iago was trying to destroy her marriage.
