             Violence in television is very common among programs viewed by young children. Television shows such as Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-gi Oh, and Power Rangers are all intended for a young audience and are all based upon the concept of violence and battles.

             With this fact in my mind one must consider the amount of violence that there is on television these days. One must also consider the fact that due to our dependency on technology children watch a lot of television and are therefore exposed to an awful lot of violent behavior. All of this violence can affect a child's attitude and cause them to be come overtly violent themselves.
             Not only is there a lot of violence on television, it has also become very sexualized. Whether it be in prime-time programs aimed at young adults, late night programming, or even programs intended for young children. During prime-time hours (usually from around seven until ten) most of the programming is aimed at those who are in high school or are younger adults. Because of this audience most of the programming has an abundance of sexual content and other material that is intended for a more adult audience. Since most programming that is on during this prime-time period is not aimed towards children but still viewed by them, one must realize the type of material children are being exposed to.
