Unfortunately, murder and killing is an event that we live with on a daily basis. Whether it has to do with a homicide, robbery, revenge, or even occasional justifiable murders (such as the preventative measure of killing wanted terrorists) there is always someone to blame. It doesn't matter of a person had been neglected as a child or played violent games, as long as the persons finger pulled the trigger they are to blame. Why should we have to look for someone to blame when the killer is right in front of our face. Enough looking for technicalities to help out these criminals
             In the essay Supremacy Crimes, renowned feminist Gloria Steinem writes that the public are the ones to blame. She takes a huge portion of America, classifies them as white, heterosexual males, and says that they tend to become addicted to so called "Supremacy Crimes". I do not agree with Steinem's approach that crimes that are committed by white heterosexual males are often ignored. This is not true. A rather large percentage of crimes that are reported by the media are committed by this group. Then again a rather large percentage of crimes reported are committed by blacks. Either way criminals shouldn't be classified into any category other than killers.
             Marilyn Manson on the other hand, takes the right approach, and blames the murderers themselves and then the media who occasionally take a story, blow it out of proportion with ridiculous amounts of coverage (i.e. O.J. Simpson), and then at times even help the acquitted become wealthy. This is a major problem these days. By giving murderers what they want, they can be influencing other weirdoes to do the same. I'm not too sure that tons of copycat crimes occur but if one occurs that's already way too much. Yes the Constitution is a beautiful document but unfortunately some people take too much advantage and exploit crimes to the point where we even pay $10.00 to wat
