             May 16,1599 (Allison 42). Since the Burbage brothers were still desperately short on money, they
             invited people to invest in their theater to give it a permanent home (Constabile). The people that
             invested in the theater became known as Lord Chamberlain's Men. All actors needed a lord or
             lady to give them permission to perform, and Lord Chamberlain gave this acting company his
             approval to perform. Lord Chamberlain was the highest ranking nobleman of the royal court, and
             the higher the patron's status the better the company performed (Doyle 96). Some famous
             members of the Lord Chamberlain's Men were the Burbage brothers, Will Kemp, and William
             Shakespeare (Chrisp 13). With their support, the theater was able to thrive and become a
             significant part of everyday entertainment.
             Since the Globe Theater was such a popular attraction, it needed to be large enough to
