The multicultural that I deem as the most significant attribute I must prepare myself as a future teacher would be the increasingly divers student population present in public schools today. As a future teacher, from the United States, teaching in the United States and that will be teaching a diverse population of students that just continues to grow I want to be equally prepared for each student in my class room. With the diversity student population on the rise every year, the preparation as a future teacher able to help and teach every student becomes more difficult and needs more preparation. The preparation can not ever be enough with bringing all the diversity together in one class room. That is why as a future teacher the preparation has to be a long thought out process. As a future fifth grade teacher I thought of a few ways to prepare for the diverse population in the class room. One way to prepare would be to have different culture posters through out the class room. This to make the students feel a little more comfortable and also make the students realize the different culture present in the class room. Another way to prepare would be to pair the students up every other day with someone of a different culture for ten minutes or so. So the students can learn more about each other and the different cultures present in our society today. These plains are just a couple of ways that the preparation for the diversity in schools could make learning in the class fun for every culture. The preparation can never be to much or to little, with it growing every year the preparation also must expand. As a future teacher I plain to be as well prepared for the increasingly diverse student population to make the culture in my class room come together as one and make teaching as fun and interesting for each student that walks through my door.
