Macbeth

             Macbeth
'Macbeth' by Shakespeare is a tragic play set mainly in Scotland. In this essay I will consider the extent of which I agree or disagree that Lady Macbeth is a 'fiend like queen.'
Act one scene five is where lady Macbeth first appears to the audience and quickly she appears to be a very dominant and strong-minded woman. She quickly decides that in order for macbeth's ambition to be king to be fulfilled she will have to organise the murder of Duncan. However she needs to call upon the evil spirits to help her.
That croaks the fatal entrance of Duncan
In the quote lady Macbeth needs the help of the witches to change her gender, as she feels incapable of performing the murder of ducan because she is a woman. This also suggests that she needs help to be as evil as this to murder someone therefore she can't be that fiend like.
Another part in the play where Lady Macbeth shows her strength and determination is in act one scene seven. Lady Macbeth persuades her husband to kill Duncan.
"To be the same in thine own own act and valour
as thou art in desire wouldst thou have that
which thou esteem'st in the ornament of life."
In this section of the play we see Lady Macbeth attacking Macbeth's man hood. This is where we see Lady Macbeth becomes very angry and persuasive with Macbeth. Once again she is try to convinces Macbeth that this is for the best if he wants to succeed in his life. Attacking his bravery is the worst thing she can say to a man like Macbeth therefore lady Macbeth is desperate for Duncan to be murdered. She is confident in her ability to carry things through.
However, lady Macbeth in Act Two Scene Two Lady Macbeth starts to show signs of weakness and begins to be scared. This quote shows her true fear when she asks Macbeth.
