Marcellus Clay was formerly known as Muhammad Ali, in his lifetime he became one of the best and most favorite sports figures of all time. His positive attitude and his devotion to boxing made him a role model for many people. He has transformed himself in desperate search for his stolen bicycle into the heavyweight of the world and then into the man who proudly lit the Olympic torch at the 1996 summer Olympic.
Muhammad Ali dedicated himself to boxing with fervor unmatched by other young boxers, and it was his only activity. As a teenager, he never wanted to go worked. He boxed and trained every single day. He spent most of his time in the ring, and his work finally paid of with six Kentucky Golden Gloves championships; two National Golden Gloves championships; two National AAU titles before he was 18 years old. And the biggest of all, he won the Olympic Gold Medal in 1960 in Rome months after his 18th birthday.
Muhammad Ali continued to dance through boxing with his unusual style that defied boxing logic. He was a "headhunter". He never threw body shots (he adopted his style when he was young because he had reach and because he didn't want to get close enough to get hit). And he "danced" through the fight. He has the most powerful leg maybe the strongest in the history of boxing. He literally floated in the ring. He invented the "Ali Shuffle;" a foot movement where he would elevate himself, shuffle his feet fast, and sometimes deliver a blow while dancing.
The most effective key that helps him through the fight was his mouth. He was constantly talking while boxing. His purpose is to divide the opponent attention. He became known as "The Louisville Lip."
Muhammad Ali has inspired millions people worldwide. He gave people hope and proved that anyone could become more and better than they think they are. He gave people courage for fighting what they believe in.
