My Little Encounter with the Police

             I bought my car in my junior summer of high school, and it was my dream car. It is bright red with leather seats, removable tops, and is very powerful. It is basically a race car. I have always been intrigued with the art of racing and owning a car like I have I just really wanted to experience it. Nearby my home there is a quarter-mile race track which two cars can race each other. That is one of the only legal ways that one can race automobiles because it is very safe and no spectators can be injured. There is also another way to race cars. It is called street racing and it is totally against the law in every way because not only can you hurt yourself, but at the high speeds that are reached, one can pretty much kill or destroy anything their car could possibly come into contact with. For my first time I chose the street races, and trust me, that was not the right choice.
             I had only owned my car for two weeks and all I did was drive it, and drive it fast I am ashamed to say. I received three speeding tickets in that brief period of time, and tried to race anything that came close to me. I was talking to one of my neighbors who also owns a nice, quick car and he told me about some very illegal street races about two towns over from me that were happening that night. He told me that he was going and that I could follow him if I wanted. Of course, this all sounded really exciting to me, he said that there was going to be over seventy-five cars and racers attending. So I went.
             We left home at about eleven that night, it was myself, my neighbor Matt, and my friends Geoff, Avi, and Jon. They all have very fast cars. The ride was about a half hour long and we were all racing and weaving through traffic the whole way there. We reached our destination, which was a parking lot of a closed down supermarket.
