Adolescent smoking is a heavy issue in today's society. There is an increasing number of
adolescents smoking these days. According to a 2001 national survey of high school students,
the overall prevalence of current cigarette use was 28 percent. Smoking is incredibly addictive,

have part-time jobs spend a great deal of their earnings on cigarettes, rather than clothes and
entertainment or depositing it into savings account.

Furthermore, adolescent smoking has extremely unhealthy effects. Tobacco use in
adolescence is associated with a wide range of health-compromising behaviors, including being
involved in fights, carrying weapons, engaging in high-risk sexual activity and using alcohol
