German Projects Review

            Albert Dürer was born on May 21, 1471 in Nuremberg into a Hungarian family of goldsmiths. His work includes painting, engraving, and even writing on theoretical monograph related to the problem of perspective. His themes were based on religious conflicts. He attempted to reconcile conflicts within his work of arts. The Flemish school and the German gothic tradition influenced his arts a great deal. The complexity of his work was not limited to the composition (landscapes and etc...); it also extended to the shortening and placement of the object caught up in the visual field.
             Jacob Luwig and Carl Grimm and Wihelm Carl Grimm were born on January 4, 1785 and February 24, 1786 in Hanau, German to Phillipp Wilhelm Grimm (a lawyer and court official) and Dorothea Grimm. Jacob and Wilhelm both studied law at the University of Marburg. They begin to collect folktales in 1806. They publish the first volume of Children and the Household Tales with 86 folktales. The second volume included 70 new folktales added to the first volume. There were six volumes in total, and the final version included 200 stories plus "Children Legends."
             Rammstein was formed in East Germany in 1994 with a 6 persons band. The guys were all from other bands and had been friends. They were bored of the old bands and wanted something new. Rammstein is a combination of music and machines. They denied taking the name from a plane crash in Ramstein where 70 people were killed in 1988. From the very beginning, fire has always been apart of Rammstein. They did all the fireworks by themselves at first; however, in front of big audience, a burning beam fell down. After that they hired professionals to do their fireworks.
