The Maintenance of Order is keeping society from going into chaos. Society is based off the idea that peoples lives a structured through groups, groups of many different kinds such as rich, poor, black, white, young, old, and many more, but never the less GROUPS. Society is not effected by the loss of an individual but disturb the integrity of the group and the is a problem, that's why there is a Maintenance of Order, to keep control or a handle on the many social problems that could effect the group.
             Socialization is to place under government or group ownership or control; establish on a socialistic basis. To fit for companionship with others; make sociable in attitude or manners. To convert or adapt to the needs of society and to take part in social activities. Socialization consists of many different things that make it possible to keep society in place. One way that we are filed into groups in society is based off our social location. Social location is a little more abstract than things such as norms which are set in stone, but the reason Social Location is a little more abstract is because if your considered poor because you are born into a poor family this can be changed. You can work hard, become rich and change your social location. You may not be poor anymore but you are still in a group there for you did not disrupt society. Now when dealing with the norms you are dealing with labels that can not be changes such as being a male or female, young or old and when one of the norms are disrupted society is disrupted and you are not conforming you are being deviant.
             Conformity is when you stay with your group and do not step out of line; you are going with the flow and not disrupting the calm waters. Society likes it when you conform.
