The day I broke my wrist was a bad day as you might know. When I got
to child care at Orrington. We were in the middle of a basketball game and my
brother pushed me into the wall and I broke my wrist. I look at my wrist and it
was huge. You could see where the bone was. My hand went back and touch far
up my arm. I was in so much pain. The custodian had to drive me to the hospital
to the emergency room. When I go to the emergence room instead of going to a
room it took them about one hour to find me a room and get information and
what happened. When I got to the room I sat on the bed and waited until my
mom came so she could sign the papers for them to put my wrist back in place.
My mom just walked into work and her secretary told her that her son is
in the emergency room. So she grabbed some work she had to do and went right
back to the train to come back from the loop. When she got to the hospital I had
all these tubes in my left wrist so the blood could keep flowing. Then they gave
me two shots to get me to fall asleep so I wouldn't feel a whole ton of pain. The
only bad thing was the shot didn't make me fall asleep. So I felt all the pain and I
hated that minute of my life. After the had it in place They had to put a cast on.
So, I was there longer wait for them to put on the cast. By the time they were
done I jumped off the bed but I forgot my CD player was there so that broke
when it hit the ground hard. The hospital gave m e a sling( and thing to keep my
arm up) to put m arm in. My mom and I went home and I told her all that had
happened and I went back to school to tell my brother to not feel bad and that it
was OK. Afterwards, my mother and I went to the movie store and rented two
movies so I could do something until I went back to school. That rest of the week
I couldn't sleep because of all the pain in my wrist.
