             Nowadays, smoking is one of the major concerns of public health issue. It is our responsibility to intervene with smoking. This addictive behavior is the number one preventable cause of premature mortality. According to the Public Health Researchers have found that there are numerous negative effects of tobacco smoke to our body. Lung cancer is now proven to have the highest leading cause of death caused by tobacco smoke. Smoking causes both physiological and psychological dependence. Also smoking has a strong relationship with earlier menopause and an increased risk of osteoporosis and cancers for women.
            
             Smoking is the number one cause of lung cancer. Lung cancer may also be the most tragic cancer in most cases, it might have been prevented. There is 87% of lung cancer cases are caused by smoking. Cigarette smoke contains more than 4,000 different chemicals, many of which are proven cancer-causing substances, or carcinogens. Smoking cigars or pipes also increases the risk of lung cancer. The more people smoke and the longer people smoke, the greater risk of lung cancer. But if people stop smoking, the risk of lung cancer decreases each year as abnormal cells are replaced by normal cells. After ten years, the risk drops to a level that is one-third to one-half of the risk for people who continue to smoke. Many of the chemicals in tobacco smoke also affect the nonsmoker inhaling the smoke. Those people we called "Secondhand smoking " and that another important cause of lung cancer. Recent studied indicated that approximately 60,000 nonsmokers die each year from diseases directly related to the passive inhalation of secondhand smoke. Men who smoke one pack a day increase their risk 10 times compared with nonsmokers.
