It is interesting to step back once in a while and be able to see how the human mind works- even if it is your own. Ever since I was a child, the human mind proved to be a very complex thing. This thing in our heads that we are all gifted with is truly amazing and never can we fully understand it. Since our minds are always changing, just as the world never stops moving in its rapid pace.
             Even now, after the September 11th incident, which was a tragedy for everyone, I could see and feel the change in mood. That day, I was less than a few blocks from where the tragedy took place, and one second, everyone was busy looking out for themselves in the quick- pace city of New York, and then, a disaster breaks out and everyone is completely changed. There was sadness and anxiety in the air, followed by the coming together of everyone. Uniting as a community, as the city of New York, as the United States, and as the World. Though it was one of the worst incidents that could possibly happen, it decided my future occupation.
             As everyone was grieving, I opened my eyes and saw what was happening. I wanted to help, and that was where I found my calling. I wanted to become a psychiatrist.
             I began to take a deep interest in how the mind worked. Emotions and decisions happen continuously every single second of every single day, that is a whole new world for me to discover.
             Every time I get upset and angry, I have this urge to punch the wall. I want to know why. Every time that I get into a fight with my girlfriend, I will always call her back and apologize. I want to know why. It is amazing to see how a person can feel worried one moment, then motivated then next, then confused, then enlightened, then ambitious.
