Macbeth

             In Shakespeare's tragedy Macbeth, Macbeth, is greatly influenced by Lady MacBeth. During the play Macbeth goes from being a kind man to Damien through the help of his wife (Lady Macbeth) and an overwhelming desire to become king and eliminate all threats. Lady Macbeth loves every minute of it but then it takes her toll and she becomes more and more depressing. For the first half of the play the MacBeth couple feed off of each other until their souls separate and they lose all sanity they once had.
             You first see Lady Macbeth reading the letter from her husband. It tells of the three witches predictions and how the firs of them has already come true. From that very moment she starts to plot the demise of Duncan and is determined for her husband to be king. "Glamis thou art and Cawdor; and shalt be what thou art promised"(I, v, 15-16) She is filled with an inconceivable evil to a point where she wishes to give up all her woman hood as evident when she says, "Come, you spirits that tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here and fill me from the crown to the toe top-fill of direst cruelty."(I, v, 40-43) She becomes determined to help fulfill the three witches prophecies. She has become the first evil main character and wishes to spread it upon her weak hearted husband. She is afraid that Macbeth being the kind man he is won't have the evilness needed to take the shortest route to become king. She decides that she must fill him with her own evil and drive away anything that can prevent him from him from becoming king. "Hie thee hither, That I may pour my spirits in thine ear, And chastise with the valor of my tongue All that impedes thee from the golden round, Which fate and metaphysical aid doth seem To have thee crown'd withal."(I, v, 25-30).
