             Through my experiences I have found that when having a used car you can actually improve the car as your mileage goes up. This does not require you to have a lot of money. The restoring process is not a quick process it is done over a long period of time but done on you own time. As time goes on and your miles go up you will be improving your car and adding to its life.

             The first step and maybe the most important step is buying the right kind of used car. It is very important to do a lot of research on a car before you buy it. Most of the used cars that are sold today are from the early 90's. In those years the Japanese were ahead of the world in engine technology. The typical American engines only last to about 160,000 miles when Japanese engines last to about 200,000 miles. You want to make sure that the car that you choose does not have more than 130, 000 miles because if it does then you will probably have to do more repairs than necessary.
             How to maintain your budget for your car
             After choosing the right car the next important thing to is to include repairing your car in your monthly budget. The restoring process is done on your time and it is done on your budget. The important thing is to plan out how much money you are going to be able to save each month to restore your car. The important things to save for are your regularly scheduled oil change and the major repairs the car needs. You should plan to do the major repairs every season. Everyone's budget is different so these repairs can be done whenever it is convenient for you. The important thing is that you do save for these repairs.
             The next important step that people sometimes overlook is finding a good mechanic. This is the key to getting the best work done on your car at the lowest price. You want to find a mechanic who is trustworthy and honest people who have family and friends who are mechanics
