Christmas is coming. John is preparing Christmas meal. Chicken is already in the oven and potatoes are bubbling in the cooking pot. Cucumbers are cut, tomatoes are cut, and as always the unpleasant work is left in the last place – to cut onions for salad and garlic for dressing. John thoughtfully scrutinizes onions and then garlic. He took onion in his hands and easily peeled it, quickly took a knife and chalked it up. The smell of onion quickly spread in the kitchen. Tasty but the smell is disgusting, thought John. "What is this disgusting smell?", he could hear his wife calling from the living room. John smiled, because he knew that the worst is only coming – the smell of garlic. Garlic. The smell of garlic takes away the smell of onions.
             In the life of humans everything happens just like in nature. The difference is that the processes in nature people perceive as self-evident, but when it comes to our lives we take it as something extraordinary. Expression about smell of garlic and onion may be translated as better-known expression that you shouldn't worry about problems you have at the moment because probably there will come bigger problems and you would forget those, what you have now.
             For example in some family a child falls ill. His mother and father cannot sleep at night, cannot eat and cannot think about something else but their child. Relatives all conversations change to one – how is he doing? They start to predict what could be the result of child's illness, what could be the possible variants of recovery process, discussed competence of doctors, and discussed similar cases in family and neighbourhood. They think of variants why the child has fallen ill, if they cannot find an answer, some families even bring home quack to find it out. The whole family lives with one goal - cure the child.
