Romeo and Juliet

             Death is usually a feared factor, but in Romeo and Juliet, its not. They loved each other more than anything. Unfortunately, they were kept separated by their families. So they were left with only one choice, DEATH.
             Christian Davila and Maryling Flores are considered modern time Romeo and Juliet. Their stories are similar to Romeo and Juliet. They couldn't without each other so they considered death as their only solution. "I love him more than anyone here on this earth." This phrase was spoken by Maryling, for her love. She was unable to be with him. This was known by everyone in her class.
             "I feel that without him I can't live. Why is it you were never able to understand me? Or is it that you live to make my life miserable? I love him more than anyone on earth." In Romeo and Juliet, their lives were ended up the same as Christian's and Maryling's. The teens were at the age of 13 and 14. Their classmates felt sorry for both of them because both were honor students. Maryling once told her friends that she was pregnant, but after the tests, she was not.
             In Romeo and Juliet, the time was in the late 1500's which affected the way the play was written. However, the modern Romeo and Juliet took place in the modern times, which affected the way it happened. For example, Romeo killed himself by drinking poison thinking that Juliet killed her self. "Come, bitter conduct, come, unsavory guide! Thou desperate pilot, now at once run on the dashing rocks thy seasick weary bark! Here's to my love [drinking.] O true apothecary thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die" When Juliet is awakened; she takes a dagger and stabs herself. The way Christian and Maryling killed their selves was entirely different. For their deaths, they jumped into a canal and drowned. Their bodies were found few hundred yards away.
