Plagiarism

             Tonight, on my way home from work, I stopped at your station to fill my gas tank and to get my car washed. When the tank was full, the computer asked if I wanted to add a carwash onto the cost of the gasoline; I agreed, assuming everything was fine. The computer made no indication that the carwash was broken, and even printed a code number for me to enter. Upon receiving the receipt, I drove to the carwash. The red light said wait, so I waited. Nothing happened. I pulled forward. Nothing happened. I reversed and tried again, assuming I was not triggering the sensor. Needless to say, it was not until I pulled my car all the way forward to the machine that accepts the codes that I was finally notified that the carwash wasn't working (and that sign was a tiny, fade sign written merely in ball-point pen!).
             Since I had already paid for the carwash, I had no choice but to get a refund. I backed my car out of the carwash (luckily no one else was behind me), and entered the store. I immediately asked the young woman, whose name was Shannon, why there was not one sign indicating that the carwash was out of order until driving right up to the bay door. Her response was curt and snippy: "We can't change the message on the computers, ma'am." I accepted this and told her to simply give me a refund, but then I explained, "but you could put signs on the pumps." Her response this time was beyond curt: "We'd have to put them up every morning and take them down every day and that's a pain in the ass."
             I cannot believe that I am the only customer who has purchased a carwash to find out only upon driving up to the bay door that it is broken. I also cannot believe that your employees would rather inconvenience customers, than hang a couple of signs on the sides of the pumps. A few simple signs placed where people can see them would easily alleviate
