             Liverpool, England. As an adolescent Harrison took up guitar. Harrison died at the age
             of fifty-eight on November 29, 2001, following a long battle with cancer. Drummer Ringo
             Starr was born Richard Starkey on July 7, 1940 in Liverpool, England to a troubled
             working-class family. Ringo's father deserted his mother when he was only three years
             old, and as a child Ringo was often ill, suffering from near-fatal peritonitis as a child and
             pleurisy as a teenager. As a result of his sicknesses Ringo missed years of school, limiting
             his education, even without much of an education he managed to be one of the most
             successful drummers in the history of music (rollingstone.com). These were the members
             of the group know today, to their benefit it changed along the way.
             The Beatles originally consisted of five members all the the same small town of
             Liverpool, England. John Lennon formed his group, the Quarrymen, in 1956 with friend
             Pete Shotton. Shotton was not part of the band itself, he only helped Lennon for it.
             Expertise bass player and also talented vocalist, Paul McCartney, whom Shotton
             introduced to Lennon in 1957 at a church function, find a place in the band, and he in turn
             introduced Lennon to George Harrison. Harrison was only fourteen years of age, though
             he was a quite skilled guitarist, he did not impress seventeen year old Lennon overmuch.
