For the Deists, he was a glorious being between angels and beasts, sharing something of both. If nature is perfect, there must be a place perfect for man. For "Swift", man is not sufficient creature. This is a tragedy because in a perfect world, to be an imperfect creature is a tragedy. At the same time, it is a comic masterpiece. This is a fact that we tend to forget, because we become solemn and have this tendency to think of the importance of topics that appear in the novel. It is also a fable, above all the fourth book. Fables were very important during the XVIIIth century: "La Fontaigne", "Jovellanos"... Because fables did a moral lesson, they were interested in teaching morality. For common people, as religion, writers wrote fables, which were like little sermons.
             Do we have a plot or four books that have nothing to do with each other? The plot consists on an event happens because something has happened before. Does Gulliver arrive to one island because he arrived to another one before? Gulliver, for example, does not arrive to one place because of what had happened to him in the previous line. Perhaps we can find a kind of plot . There is a progression of some feeling in Gulliver. There is a progression in anger . Because he is a representative of humanity, this progression of anger is about the anger of human nature, the insufficiency of human nature. He becomes anger and anger. At the beginning, he does not feel anger when he is with the little men he can throw out of his body. Related to the plot we have the structure.
             The four voyages are so arranged as to achieve an intensification of tone. It is really a kind travel through the increasing darkness, as if the heart of humanity would be becoming darker and dark...
