o once more unify them. A group of conservatives began to rise. Napoleon was sent for in order to stop them. He sent one of his officers to over throw this group. They wound up exiling them. Because of this victory on the home front, Napoleon entered France a national hero.
             From there Napoleon went to Egypt. He returned victorious from Egypt, as well. It seemed his fame kept growing. He was becoming that leader the people were yearning for. After the conquest of Egypt he had left his troops behind. His battles in Egypt were still considered triumphant, though his men would eventually be lost.
             Napoleon was placed at the head of the government and named First Consul. He set up his government with pawns that would agree with what he said and vote the way he wanted. His second and third Consuls were mere delivery boys, acting more as trained pets that do cool tricks than as leaders.
