uses. King uses this to his advantage because the clergymen cannot deny any of his arguments if he relates them properly with religion. King explains what an unjust law is by writing "A law is unjust if it is inflicted on a minority that, as a result of being denied the right to vote, had no part in enacting or devising the law" (King, 222). He says that a law is unjust if a minority group is being denied the right to vote and the right to revise the law. In other words, he is fighting for the black's right to vote. When the clergymen categorized King as an extremist, he gave numerous religious metaphors in regards to the word "extremist". He says, "Was not Jesus an extremist for love" (King, 225).
