It was a damp, humid night and the wind was angrily pushing the trees with force and finally making them bend until they reached the land. The quietness and the darkness were the master elements of the night. The stars flickered like the flames of the fire like if it was proclaiming that something inexplicable would certainly happen. The four good friends had decided to camp for the night to the cave in the little woodland which was tucked away just out of the town.
Every single child had shivered to the "real" story John had told. "It's a real story", the boy repeated with the most convincing manner and his whole body was shaking with fear. He hated telling this kind of stories as in the end he was the one that was most frightened, but this time he couldn't help it. "...and it happens every first whole moon", he continued.
All four friends raised their eyes in an astonishing synchronization and looked at the sky. The dark abyss was decorated with twinkling stars and a huge luminous circle, the moon. It was the first whole moon of the year. An eerie silence fell as none of the children dared to open his mouth or even move from his place.
