Leadership

             Throughout my years in high school I have had many leadership roles that
             have been important to me, but none as important as that of Field Commander for
             the High School Band. This position has meant so much to me this
             When I had first found out that I was awarded this, I was thrilled to know
             that I was going to have a major influence of the performance of the band this
             year. Though the year had it's highs and it's lows, with the help of many others
             we made it through the final year. I learned that you can never give up no matter
             how bad the odds look against you. Though half way through the season our
             score showed that were not going to go to the Atlantic Coast Championships, we
             had an amazing performance and were able to improve enough to make it into the
             Even through the tough times I was constantly striving to become
             everyone's friend and with every person came a different story. It was then that I
             realized how great it was to be with a group up such diverse people and I had
             learned to except everyone for who they are. And after talking to almost all the
             members I had learned how to not judge people for the way they act or the things
             I have enjoyed every minute of being a leader for all the activities that I
             have been involved in but the one that has taught me the most was being Field
             Commander for the band. It was one the greatest experiences of my life and I
             will carries the life lessons I have obtained from being a leader in the band.
