Love is a very powerful word. Love is also a powerful feeling, which comes from an individual's emotion. The word is not something to be thrown around; one needs to have meaning behind the word. A person can not judge another couple's love, because he or she can not sense the same feeling that brings those two people together. Love can be interpreted in many ways depending on one's own experience and feelings. The two couples in the story talk about love by expressing the way they feel about each other and their experiences with others. The dialogue starts off soft and slow. It is the middle of the afternoon, with the sun still out. They are preparing to go out and eat. Before they leave they get a little something to drink and begin talking about the topic of love. The mood progressively begins to be more uncomfortable as Mel drinks more and takes over the conversation.
