Causes of violent children

             We live in a time where violence is everywhere. Violence is seen everyday on the evening news, newspapers, television, movies, music, sports and video games. We all love violence in one way or another. Most experts say, that because our need for violence, our children are the ones paying the consequences and are being submerged in a violent society where a violent crime is no longer a shocking experience to them. In John Naisbitt's "The Military – Nintendo Complex", the author goes on how the media is to blame for the acts of violence that children and teenagers carry out. According to the author, John Naisbitt, "TV and video games can sometimes even become substitute evil parents"(81). Naisbitt points out how media induces children to become violent, how in a way it triggers their minds to commit acts of violence. The children committing these crimes are some how in a trans, for them, it is just a game in real life. People do not becomes violent just by viewing the media. Naisbitt does not include other factors that may influence kids in carrying out violent crimes. Factors that trigger violent children are: 1. Interfamily violence. 2. Choosing or buying certain toys for children can cause violent behavior (aggression). 3. Psychologically disturbed or pathological problems among kids.
             It is commonly known that parents who physically abuse their children often report being the subjects of abuse themselves as children. Similarly, abused children often show high levels of aggression and hostility.
             According to Dr. John Newson, writer of "Patterns of infant care an urban community: " In the USA, harsh punishments, in which the child will be hit with an object by parents, have been documented for 1 in 10 children in the general population."
