Why do these influences contribute to the rising number of date rape? For one thing, they clearly state the different expectations from the different genders. Movies create fantasies for females to wonder about a perfect world; yet males admire the content the male characters play, which triggers their minds to dominate women. Advertisements have a strong persuasive power to send out messages that can lure people to feel safe about sexual activities. The messages are inevitable and people become unfortunate victims. In addition, the explicit music lyrics also send out false information resulting occurrence of date rape.
             The content of the movies encourages people to be involved in sexual intercourse that can lead to date rape. Movies have profound influences on human being because they create fantasies that people hope to live for. Most male characters in the movies hunt and dominate to show their masculinity. Such content persuades the male viewers to acknowledge the role of all men. In a comedy movie titled Booty Call, two guys do anything to get into sexual activities with their dates; on other hand, two women seek to have a pleasant date. In contrary to men¡¯s expectations, women fall into a fantasy of a perfect world that isolates them from facing the reality. For instance, they see romantic movies and they expect or hope for a similar relationship with their partners. However, there are great risks of date rape if the female is not aware of it. Certainly, movies do not warn about the rape occurrence, leaving females confused.
