Gangs and violence; it happens all the time. You might think it won't happen to you but you could easily become a victim of a gang from drugs or they might talk you into becoming a member of a gang. If you are talked into joining a gang you might then do drugs witch might bring you to do violent things.
             You might ask what is a gang? A gang is a group of criminals or hoodlums who band together. You also might ask what is violence? Violence is a physical force exerted for the purpose of violating, damaging, or abusing property. Those who join gangs often have low self-esteem, feel unloved at home, do poorly in school, and have a hard time making decisions and communicating with others. Most gang members are boys, but 10% of all gang members are girls and the number is growing in the U.S. everyday. Kids join gangs because they think it gives them power, money, a substitute family, respect, security, protection, and friendship. Some kids join gangs because they think it might solve some of their problems but it doesn't it actually might create more of them and drive you crazy. In one study, about 35% of students said that they feared being attacked by a gang member and that is why joined gangs.
             This is something you might want to know a lot of gangs expect you to be ready to do crimes and do violent things when you join them, and once you join a gang it might be pretty hard to get back out and you can make lots of enemies. People who join gangs might want respect but joining a gang is not the right ways to do it respect others and they might respect you back. Things that can bring you to violence are movies and games a lot of them have lots of violence. A thing I had to deal with is a gang and they beat the crap out of me there were about six of them and this happened where I used to live. Gnags will still grow and you can't stop them.
